Banca Transilvania is increasing interest rates on term deposits in lei for individuals.

At BT, customers benefit from the following rates, effective June 12 this year:

• 3.5% (up from 2.5%) for 1-year term deposits;
• 4% (up from 3%) for 2-year term deposits;
• 4.25% (up from 3.5%) for 3-year term deposits.

At the end of March this year, deposits and current accounts of BT retail customers stood at 43.4 billion lei, up 4% compared with December 2018, when they were 41.7 billion lei.
