Banca Transilvania is in the Top 100 Cool Brands compiled by Forbes, a ranking that showcases the brands of the new generation.

The brands deemed cool were chosen based on the opinions of 66 Romanian opinion leaders/trendsetters and assessed against the following aspects: innovation, originality, performance and responsibility.

• More than 300 brands were in the initial stage of the competition for this ranking.
• The Banca Transilvania brand was launched 22 years ago in Cluj-Napoca. BT started with a team of 13 and is now among the top three largest banks in Romania. The BT brand family includes nearly 20 sub-brands created for products, services, foundations and sporting competitions.
• BT is active on social media: it has profiles on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram. On Facebook, it has one of the largest online communities among banks in Romania, with over 449,000 fans.
• Over time, Banca Transilvania has stood out as a trendsetter, including: a world first — together with Western Union — by launching the ATM money transfer service (2010); national firsts — also with the same multinational — by launching money transfers via Internet Banking (2012) and Mobile Banking (2013). Another example is introducing the “Facebank” concept in Romania: since 2013, Banca Transilvania has offered money transfers via Facebook, namely Facebook Payments.
• In September, Banca Transilvania unveiled its new brand identity, emphasizing the bank’s “nationality” and Romanian values, including entrepreneurial spirit. The bank’s positioning remains unchanged: the Entrepreneurs’ Bank.
