Banca Transilvania remains a partner of Romanian basketball this year
BT’s partnership with the Romanian Basketball Federation continues
Banca Transilvania (BT) and Romanian Basketball Federation (FRB) are continuing the partnership launched in 2016, aimed at supporting performance and inspiring children and young people. This year as well, BT will support the FRB’s activities and plans, the national teams, as well as basketball volunteering and education projects. To date, the partnership has had a positive impact on over 30,000 registered athletes, starting from children as young as 7-8.
„The significant investments Banca Transilvania is making in sport are investments in Romania, in performance and in future generations. We are the biggest supporter of Romanian basketball and we are pleased to continue to team up with the Romanian Basketball Federation. We are confident the FRB’s management will successfully contribute to the development of Romanian basketball and to its stronger results”, said Ömer Tetik, Chief Executive Officer, Banca Transilvania.
”Basketball is one of the most impactful sports in Romania, played by many athletes as well as amateurs from the age of 7-8. Today is an important moment for the Romanian basketball family, as we can announce the continuation of the partnership with Banca Transilvania. We are delighted that we will continue to team up with Banca Transilvania for future projects, and I am referring here both to those focused on performance — from the national selection processes in the youth segment, where we will be able to bring additional investment in preparing tomorrow’s champions, up to the level of the national teams — as well as to those that concern basketball volunteering programmes or education through basketball”, a precizat Emilia Carmen Tocala, Presedintele Federatiei Romane de Baschet.
Over the years, Banca Transilvania has supported athletes in competitions and events such as EuroBasket, the Romanian Cup, All Star Game, Ghita Muresan Summer Camp, the National Baby and Mini Basketball Championship, as well as projects such as the U-Banca Transilvania Basketball Academy or FRB TV. It is also the main financier of the U-BT Cluj-Napoca Sports Club and the U-Banca Transilvania team.
