Banca Transilvania and the Investment and Development Bank (BID) announce the signing of an agreement to support the development of investment projects aimed at infrastructure and local communities, carried out by local authorities and the companies they own.

The partnership expands local and regional financing capacity and, at the same time, strengthens the guarantee mechanism by reducing risks and enabling faster access to sustainable financing.

• The BID guarantee amount ranges from 5 to 150 million lei.
• The maximum guarantee tenor is 15 years.
• The maximum guarantee coverage is up to 80%.

The agreement is part of the framework through which the Investment and Development Bank, together with commercial banks, supports projects in areas such as digitalisation, education, healthcare, energy, public utilities and accessing EU funds.

Over the next three years, BID will make available a total guarantee ceiling of 2.1 billion lei.
