Banca Transilvania is one of the 10 most valuable companies in Romania, according to an analysis by Ziarul Financiar, in collaboration with BT Capital Partners and the consultancy and valuation firm Veridio.

BT received recognition for its place in this ranking at the ZF 2017 Gala, held in Bucharest on November 23, 2017. The bank was represented by Omer Tetik, Chief Executive Officer.

This is the 12th consecutive year in which ZF has published the ranking of the 100 most valuable companies in Romania, providing a benchmark for business value in the country; the criteria used are turnover and the highest profit margins. According to the ranking, companies’ turnover in Romania reached RON 1,300 billion in 2016 (EUR 285 billion), while the net profit margin hit a record 4%. This is the first time in the past 10 years that the top 100 companies have been valued at more than EUR 70 billion. Within that, the 10 most valuable companies are valued at RON 108 billion (EUR 23.5 billion), nearly 8% more than in the 2016 top ten.
