Banca Transilvania is setting up its own technology company, Code Crafters, to expand its capacity to develop IT solutions.

The company will start operating in April this year, with a team made up of people with solid experience both in technology and outsourcing firms, and in banking. Code Crafters is structured like companies in the field, built around small, autonomous teams passionate about technology and innovation.

“At Banca Transilvania, we invest heavily in technology; we’ve made strong progress year after year, but we’re more used to buying technology than building it ourselves. With Code Crafters, we’re taking a big step towards producing the solutions we need ourselves, and towards a new mindset, organization and digital culture,” says Ömer Tetik, CEO, Banca Transilvania.
