The best term deposit offer, loan discounts and credit card benefits

Banca Transilvania is launching on 11 November Bank Friday, a new online banking shopping campaign. For one day, Bank Friday brings the best rates since the start of the year on 6- and 12-month lei term deposits, at 7.25% and 7.45%, as well as benefits on personal loans, mortgages, credit cards, car leasing and insurance.

Key Bank Friday offers:

• Extra benefits on credit cards: between 250 and 350 lei as a gift in STAR loyalty points, and up to 15,000 free miles on BT Flying Blue travel cards;
• The best offer since the start of the year on 6- and 12-month deposits in lei, at 7.25% and 7.45%;
• The package combining a personal loan and a STAR card: 8.81% variable interest (IRCC + 4.75pp margin), no application fee and life and unemployment insurance, plus up to 350 STAR loyalty points.

With the message “Do I want it or need it?”, this year’s campaign, now in its eighth edition, puts the focus on responsible spending.

BT customers’ Bank Friday preferences

The November 2021 Bank Friday set an all-time record for STAR credit card sales and saw very strong demand for overdrafts. Compared with an ordinary day last year, four times as many customers took out a STAR card, and three times as many overdrafts were opened.
