BT Asset Management S.A.I. (BTAM), the third-largest player on Romania’s mutual fund market, is launching BT Dolar Fix, its first investment fund whose units are denominated in US dollars. It targets retail and corporate clients who want to invest in USD in fixed-income instruments, with a high degree of flexibility. The fund invests predominantly in bank deposits in US dollars.

“We added this product to BT Asset Management SAI’s line-up after noticing a rising trend in long-term saving in USD, as well as the recent appreciation of this currency against others. We expect local appetite for saving in US dollars to continue to grow, all the more so given how few such products are available on the market,” said Aurel Bernat, CEO, BT Asset Management SAI.

Details on BT Dolar Fix:

• An investment fund investing predominantly in negotiated bank deposits, in USD;
• Subscriptions and redemptions are in USD, with no fee;
• Aims to deliver moderate growth with enhanced liquidity;
• Subscription and redemption fee: 0;
• You can invest at any of Banca Transilvania’s more than 500 branches; the minimum initial subscription is the equivalent of one fund unit. Subsequent investments and redemptions in BT Dolar Fix can also be made online via BT24 Internet Banking and Mobile Banking.
