Banca Transilvania is honored to support the emblematic Royal Train event, taking place on July 11 this year, when Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Margareta and His Royal Highness Prince Radu will travel by the Royal Train from Focsani to Onesti to mark 100 years since the battles of Marasesti, Marasti and Oituz.

According to the Household of His Majesty King Michael I, Their Royal Highnesses will be present at welcoming ceremonies at the stations in Focsani, Marasesti, Adjud and Onesti, and will take part in ceremonies at the Mausoleums in Marasesti and Marasti, as well as at the Heroes’ Cemetery in Oituz. • The Royal Train departs from Focsani Station at 10:45
• First stop: Marasesti Station, 11:25
• Marasesti Mausoleum, 11:45: laying of flowers; Marasti Mausoleum, 13:10: laying of flowers
• Second stop: Adjud Station, 15:30
• Third stop: Onesti Station, 16:20
• Heroes’ Cemetery in Oituz, 16:50: laying of flowers. Ceremony in memory of Romanian soldiers

The Royal Train is a symbol of Romania thanks to the important moments in history associated with it. According to “The Royal Train’s Nine-Decade Story”, published on the website of the Royal House of Romania, the train, ordered by the Romanian State in 1926, was built in Milan and delivered to Romania in 1928. Queen Marie and King Carol II travelled on this train to visit communities in the country and abroad; King Michael travelled extensively on the Royal Train during the Second World War; the same train took King Michael I and Queen Mother Elena into exile, on January 3–5, 1948, and political leaders were guests of the Royal Train between 1948 and 1989.
