BT Capital Partners, the brokerage arm of the Banca Transilvania Financial Group, took part as a partner in the “Capital Market and Financing the Economy” conference, held in Bucharest on 24 May this year by the Association for Economic and Social Studies and Forecasting and Sustainable Romania.

Paul Prodan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BT Capital Partners, said at the conference: “The Romanian capital market, by mobilising medium- and long-term capital, must deliver exponential growth, in both scale and quality, in order to fulfil its primary purpose of financing the national economy. Easing the flow of capital will increase the competitiveness of the Romanian economy, help reorient and restructure economic activity, and stimulate transactions between companies.”

The debate brought together decision-makers and opinion leaders from various fields, representatives of regulatory and supervisory authorities, consultants, as well as members of the university, academic and research community. The main topic was how to ensure the efficient channelling of funds to stimulate sustainable economic growth.
