Carrefour Romania and BT Direct, the consumer finance division of the Banca Transilvania Financial Group, are launching a new credit card with extra benefits at Carrefour. With the new Card Direct from Carrefour, customers can get on-the-spot financing and, afterwards, 5% cashback for purchases paid in full in Carrefour stores and online at Carrefour.ro. In this way, Carrefour Romania and BT Direct offer a simple, instant financing solution that enables customers to buy everything on their shopping list while optimising their budget by getting part of their spend back.

The card is available to all Carrefour customers and can be obtained in Carrefour hypermarkets through a simplified process. Users benefit from on-the-spot financing of up to 40,000 lei and 5% cashback credited to the card for any subsequent purchase paid in full with the Card Direct from Carrefour in Carrefour’s multi-format physical stores (hypermarkets, supermarkets, express stores and Supeco) and online at Carrefour.ro. At the same time, the card can be used at any merchant, including for paying bills in full; however, the 5% cashback credited to the card is exclusive to Carrefour, while at other merchants the cashback rate is 2%.

With the new Card Direct from Carrefour, customers can shop in-store or online with 0% interest during the grace period, of up to 55 days; make contactless payments for purchases up to 100 lei; pay by mobile via the BT Pay app; and withdraw cash. What’s more, the card enables interest-free instalments, right at the POS. Another advantage is that instalments can be set up for purchases anywhere in the country or abroad, at any physical or online store, when paying in full. For a minimum of 500 lei spent, the transaction can be split into 3 interest-free instalments or between 4 and 36 instalments, at just 1% monthly interest, through the Rate Oriunde programme, and the benefit can be activated by SMS.

• at Banca Transilvania’s BT Express self-service machines;
• via the Paypoint network, at any payment terminal;
• through the Pago app on your phone;
• via interbank transfer;
• by setting up a predefined payment order through BT24 Internet Banking or Mobile Banking.
