In the coming period, Bancpost customers will receive their corresponding BT card by courier, to be picked up at one of the nearly 500 Banca Transilvania branches or at selected Bancpost branches.

BT has issued almost 440,000 new cards for Bancpost customers, matching the number of Bancpost cards used for transactions since July 1, 2017.

How Bancpost customers can find out where to pick up their card:

• From the notice sent to their home by post;
• By contacting one of the call center teams of the two banks:
  • BT: 0800 800 881; +040 264 30 80 50; btbancpost@btrl.ro; SMS to 1834, with the text CARD;
  • Bancpost: 0800 110 200 or 021 30 20 789, infocenter@bancpost.ro.
• At Banca Transilvania branches.

When Banca Transilvania cards can be used:

• BT cards that have been picked up can be used from January 3, 2019.
• On receipt of the BT card, it must be activated at Banca Transilvania ATMs using the code received by SMS.
• Bancpost cards can be used up to and including January 1, 2019.

BT’s network comprises 40,000 POS terminals and, namely, 1,800 ATMs, multifunctional ATMs (BT Express Plus) and payment kiosks (BT Express).
