Banca Transilvania is launching a new online banking shopping event, Ziua Barbosilor. It is a one-day campaign, taking place on August 9 this year, aimed at BT customers and prospective customers who wear a beard. They can borrow for personal plans up to the equivalent of 20,000 euros at a preferential interest rate by applying online on BT’s website.

"We took our cue from the trend of being cool by wearing a beard, and from what we’ve seen many customers and colleagues are keeping up with it. There’s also a surprise on the online loan application page: to get a loan we’ll even take its virtual version into account." - said Sergiu Mircea, Marketing and Communication Director, Banca Transilvania.

Ziua Barbosilor brings discounts on fixed-rate personal loans in lei, as follows:

• For the standard loan: an interest rate of 8.5% (instead of 9.9%) for those who have their income paid into a BT account, and 9.5% (instead of 10.9%) for others.
• For the loan with life and unemployment insurance: 8% (instead of 9.5%) for those who have their income paid into a BT account, and 9% (instead of 10.5%) for others.
  
  

These online banking shopping events, which come with BT discounts and benefits, are a concept unique on the Romanian banking market and were launched by Banca Transilvania. The campaigns run up to Ziua Barbosilor have included: Bank to School, Bank Friday, DragoBT, Un Mai Muncitoresc, BaBeTe and BANKschet.
