EUR 20 million in European funding for entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova: Microinvest signs new agreements with EFSE and GGF

Microinvest, the market leader in microfinance in the Republic of Moldova and part of the Banca Transilvania Financial Group, is expanding its funding capacity by signing two new agreements with the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) and the Green for Growth Fund (GGF), with a total value of EUR 20 million.

Signed at the EU-Moldova Investment Conference, an event hosted in Chișinău by the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Commission, the agreements reaffirm Microinvest’s role as a partner to local entrepreneurs and agricultural producers. The new credit lines will support the Republic of Moldova’s efforts to develop the private sector, strengthen economic resilience and accelerate the sustainable transition, in line with European standards.

With a strong nationwide presence and extensive experience in SME and agricultural finance, Microinvest continues to channel international capital to areas with  high growth potential. The funding will support investments aimed at modernization, higher productivity, digitalization, energy efficiency and sustainable development.

Today’s signing marks another important step in strengthening the long-term cooperation between Microinvest and international financing partners committed to supporting the Republic of Moldova’s economy. Access to long-term financing remains essential to boosting the resilience and competitiveness of local businesses. It is also a special honor for us to sign these agreements at the EU-Moldova Investment Conference — an important platform that reflects the Republic of Moldova’s growing investment potential and its European development path. We greatly appreciate the trust and continued support of our European partners and investors, both for Microinvest and for the long-term potential of the Republic of Moldova’s economy.
