Fitch Ratings has reaffirmed Banca Transilvania’s long-term rating at 'BB+' with a Stable Outlook, as well as its Viability Rating (VR) at 'bb+', for the following reasons:

• BT is a strong bank with solid capitalization, supported by robust internal capital generation and a healthy funding profile;
• The bank’s asset quality is underpinned by a prudent risk policy and a diversified loan portfolio;
• Banca Transilvania’s profitability in 2022 was solid, supported by rising revenues and good cost control.

Strong provisioning coverage and low concentration risk position Banca Transilvania to mitigate the impact of any potential pressures on asset quality in the current economic environment.
