Flanco and BT Direct, the consumer finance division of the Banca Transilvania Financial Group, announce a partnership to offer new services and benefits to their shared customers.

The two companies are launching the credit card Cardul Direct de la Flanco, which gives customers 5% of the value of purchases made in any Flanco store or on flanco.ro, back on the card. Purchases can be paid in full or in instalments at a low interest rate of 1% per month.

“We want to offer our customers as many ways as possible to pay for their purchases, so they can invest in the latest technology they want while also gaining additional financial benefits. Through the partnership with BT Direct, they can choose to pay for products in 3, 10 or 15 interest-free instalments, or pay in full or in instalments with a low interest rate, with the added benefit of receiving 5% of the purchase amount back on the card. If, for example, they want to take advantage of a limited-time offer but payday is still a few days away, they can opt for a grace period of up to 55 days, at 0% interest. There are plenty of options, and our in-store advisors can help each customer find the one that suits them best”, says Ovidiu Nicusan, Marketing Director, Flanco Retail.

Another benefit offered to customers through this partnership is the ability to pay any BT Direct instalment, regardless of the type of loan, across Flanco’s nationwide network of 153 stores.

With the new Cardul Direct de la Flanco, customers can shop in-store or online with 0% interest during the grace period of up to 55 days; make contactless payments for purchases up to 100 lei; pay with their mobile phone via the BT Pay app; and withdraw cash. What’s more, the card also allows interest-free instalments, directly at the POS. Another advantage is that purchases made anywhere in the country or abroad, in any physical or online store, and initially paid in full, can be converted into instalments. For a minimum spend of 500 lei, the transaction can be split into 3 interest-free instalments or between 4 and 36 instalments at just 1% monthly interest, through the Rate Oriunde programme, and the benefit can be activated by SMS.

The card also offers multiple options for repaying instalments:

• in Flanco stores;
• at BT Express ATMs;
• via the Paypoint network, at any payment terminal;
• via the Pago app installed on your phone;
• by interbank transfer;
• by predefined payment order via BT24 Internet Banking or Mobile Banking.

Cardul Direct de la Flanco is issued exclusively in the retailer’s stores, simply and quickly, in 10 minutes, with minimal paperwork — ID documents. Each month, customers will receive an SMS informing them of the bonus amount accrued. When they wish to use it, regardless of the store or type of purchase, they should reply to the SMS within the next 3 days with the text “Bonus + the amount” (e.g., Bonus xx lei).
