The top management team of Victoriabank has a new member, Nektarios Vrongistinos, Vice President – Chief Operations Officer, with responsibilities for banking operations, information technology, corporate security and credit administration.

Nektarios Vrongistinos has over 30 years of experience in Romania’s banking sector, 10 of which as Executive Vice President at Bancpost, a bank acquired by BT in 2018. He has also worked for National Bank of Greece, Banca Romaneasca and United Bulgarian Bank.  

Victoriabank’s Executive Committee now comprises:

• Bogdan Plesuvescu (President)
• Vasile Donica (Chief Business Officer)
• Sorin Serban (Chief Risk Officer)
• Nektarios Vrongistinos (Chief Operations Officer)

Since 2018, BT and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as majority shareholders, have worked together to support the development of Victoriabank and the strengthening of the banking system in the Republic of Moldova.
