Victoriabank’s shareholders, assembled at the General Meeting of Shareholders held on May 24 in Chisinau, approved the following composition of the Board of Directors (in alphabetical order):

• Igor Spoiala, Deputy General Manager, IM Roofart SRL;
• Maris Macinskis, non-executive member, the Kool Latvia network (Latvia);
• Murat Sabaz, General Manager, Financial Resources Monitoring and Oversight, Yıldız Holding A.S (Turkey);
• Peter Franklin, non-executive member of the Board of Directors at Meritum Bank (Poland), Tam Faktoring and Hayat Varlik (Turkey);
• Thomas Grasse, independent non-executive member of the Board of Directors of Banca Transilvania;
• Tiberiu Moisa, Deputy CEO – MidCorporate and SME, Banca Transilvania;
• Victor Turcan, founder of Victoriabank and a shareholder of the bank (10.76%).

Peter Franklin and Maris Macinskis, the newly elected members of the Board of Directors, will take up their roles after receiving approval from the National Bank of Moldova.

Shareholders and their representatives holding 97.78% of the total voting shares were present at the General Meeting of Shareholders.

Since 2018, BT and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as majority shareholders, have set out to work together to develop Victoriabank and to strengthen the banking system in the Republic of Moldova.
