Banca Transilvania is launching the option to apply online for the APIA loan granted to BT clients who receive subsidies, directly on the BT website. This complements the bank’s range of subsidy-backed lending, alongside other loans for farmers.

Depending on the client’s preference, the entire lending process – including receiving the APIA certificates and signing the loan agreement – can take place online, with no need to visit the bank.

The APIA loan is a pre-financing loan that provides the funds needed for day-to-day farm payments until the APIA subsidy is received, and can cover up to 90% of the amount a BT client is due to receive.

Banca Transilvania has over 32,000 agribusiness clients. In 2021, BT granted 4,300 loans to support agriculture, totaling 2.5 billion lei, of which more than 500 million lei were APIA loans.
