Banca Transilvania has approved 1,000 loans under IMM Invest, a program that supports entrepreneurs by providing access to liquidity, with the state largely guaranteeing these loans and subsidizing interest through the end of the year. 

What these 1,000 loans mean for entrepreneurs and the economy:

• About RON 500 million flowing into the economy, of which approximately RON 430 million is for working capital and nearly RON 70 million for investment;
• Companies across almost all sectors are being supported, most of them active in trade, freight and passenger transport, services, construction and HoReCa;
• Supporting over 18,000 jobs. 

"The IMM Invest program came at a time when the Romanian economy needs investment flows to resume. The results of this program will be visible both in the labor market in the short term and in the processes of innovation and digitalization in the domestic economy over the medium term—fundamentals for sustainable development and for continuing European economic convergence. These prospects are also underpinned by the strong potential to improve investment in almost all sectors—both quantitatively and qualitatively. For example, the GDP-to-productive-investment ratio stood at around 4 in 2019 in Romania, compared with 5 in Poland and in the European Union. So far, the volume of approved loans has exceeded 0.4% of total productive investment in Romania in 2019" – said Andrei Radulescu, Head of Macroeconomic Analysis, Banca Transilvania.
