Banca Transilvania is integrating the RoPay and RoPay Alias features into the BT Pay app, giving customers a new way to make transfers straight from their phone, with no IBAN required. 

With RoPay, individual customers can transfer money by scanning a QR code, making face-to-face transfers easier, and with RoPay Alias they can send money using a phone number — instantly, free of charge, 24/7.

The two options are available in the BT Pay app, under Accounts, and further details can be found on the Întreb BT online platform and on BT’s website, using the AI Search option.

The RoPay community 

These new BT Pay features have been launched as a result of Banca Transilvania joining the national instant payments system RoPay, developed by TRANSFOND in partnership with the Romanian Association of Banks.

Banca Transilvania, together with other banks that have joined the RoPay system, is contributing to the development of the national instant payments service, making interbank transfers simpler.
