The Banca Transilvania Group reaffirms its role in strengthening economic relations between Romania and the Republic of Moldova. The most recent step was taking part in the Bucharest event marking the launch of the representative office of the Romanian Investors Association in the Republic of Moldova (AIR), as a strategic partner.
The event, held on January 23, 2026, brought together business leaders, government representatives from both countries and entrepreneurs interested in new investment opportunities. BT was represented by Ömer Tetik, Chief Executive Officer.
The Banca Transilvania Group supports AIR, including through the involvement of BT Leasing Moldova and Victoriabank, companies active in the Republic of Moldova and members of the association. Drawing on its financial expertise and strong presence in the Republic of Moldova, the BT Group helps create an environment conducive to the internationalisation of businesses and to stimulating economic growth in both countries.

AIR members account for 65% of Romanian investment in the Republic of Moldova
The Romanian Investors Association in the Republic of Moldova was founded in 2018 by 12 companies with Romanian capital. Today, AIR brings together 45 member companies, representing over 65% of total Romanian investment in the Republic of Moldova and generating turnover of over 1 billion euros. To date, the member companies have created more than 15,000 jobs in the Republic of Moldova and operate in sectors such as financial services and banking, pharmaceuticals, trade, construction, courier and other services.
