The EC Village campsite near Bánffy Castle (Bonțida, Cluj) continues to evolve. The latest tree-planting initiative, held on 28 March 2027 by Banca Transilvania and Electric Castle (EC), brought together 160 volunteers who planted approximately 2,500 saplings, helping the natural regeneration of the area, which, during EC, becomes Romania’s largest festival campsite.
This effort is part of the initiative launched in 2023, which aims to plant 10,000 trees. Since then, approximately 7,500 saplings have been planted. The program is designed to generate a positive impact beyond the festival — for the local community as well as for the thousands of Electric Castle attendees.
Electric Castle is where music and nature meet, and environmental responsibility is part of the festival experience. EC 2026 will take place 16–19 July, and Banca Transilvania is once again among the partners of this festival phenomenon, continuing to support projects with real impact in the community.
