Banca Transilvania, together with Banca Comercială Română, Raiffeisen Bank, BRD Groupe Société Générale and ING Bank N.V. Amsterdam - Bucharest Branch, is part of the banking syndicate that signed the EUR 50 million increase to MedLife’s credit limit, Romania’s largest private healthcare network, with a presence in Hungary and the Republic of Moldova as well.
The loan will be used for the company’s development, the completion of projects already underway, and potential acquisitions.
Both the initial financing and this extension of the credit line were coordinated by BCR, acting as Coordinator, Mandated Lead Arranger, Documentation Agent, Facility and Security Agent, and also as lender. The other banks, including BT, acted as Lead Arrangers and, likewise, as lenders. Legal Ground was the banking syndicate’s legal advisor for the negotiation and implementation of the financing facility documentation.
MedLife signed a syndicated credit facility totaling EUR 330 million, by amending and increasing the existing facilities by EUR 50 million.
