Banca Transilvania, together with other banks from Romania and abroad — including Banca Comercială Română, Erste Group Bank, BRD Groupe Societe Generale, Unicredit Bank, Alpha Bank (Greece), PKO Bank Polski and Siemens Bank — is part of the syndicate financing the company Distribuție Energie Oltenia.

The transaction is one of the largest green loans in Romania, intended to refinance the company’s loan and provide an additional 1.76 billion lei to support investments over the next 7 years.

Distribuție Energie Oltenia is the electricity distribution company for the Oltenia region and one of Romania’s four largest electricity DSOs (Distribution System Operators), with a market‑leading approach to sustainability and support for the energy transition in Romania.
