Starting in September 2026, Casa Bogdánffy in Cluj-Napoca will become a new publicly accessible venue dedicated to contemporary art, research and cultural dialogue. The project is developed by Plan B Foundation, with the support of Banca Transilvania, adding a new landmark to the city’s cultural map.

The new space will host exhibitions, art projects, research programs and public events, a library, as well as a café and a sculpture garden. The Plan B Foundation’s collection will also be presented here, alongside projects developed in collaboration with public and private collections in Romania and abroad, as well as initiatives by contemporary artists.

A project that connects Cluj to the international art scene

Founded in Cluj-Napoca in 2005 by Mihai Pop and Adrian Ghenie — one of the most highly regarded contemporary artists — Plan B has made a mark through its contribution to promoting Romanian contemporary art internationally.

With the Casa Bogdánffy project, Plan B aims to offer the community a space dedicated to discovering contemporary art, while contributing to Cluj’s cultural dynamism.

Banca Transilvania, a partner of projects that bring culture closer to people

BT’s involvement in the project complements its ongoing support for cultural initiatives that expand public access to art.

Among the initiatives and institutions supported by BT are Amzei, Art Safari New Museum, Museum of Recent Art and National Museum of Art of Romania, which help bring an increasingly diverse audience closer to cultural and artistic experiences.
