Banca Transilvania received recognition from Visa for its support of card acceptance solutions and the impact this has had, at the Visa Acquiring Event in Bucharest.

BT has a full payments ecosystem that includes traditional POS terminals, Android POS terminals, POS software, its own iPAY e-commerce solution, the multi-merchant Star loyalty programme, meal voucher acceptance, etc. E-commerce is one of the fastest-growing pillars of Banca Transilvania’s card business.

All of these are presented on BTePOS.ro, a platform where merchants can order everything they need to let customers pay by card, by phone or online. Over 45,000 companies have around 90,000 POS terminals from Banca Transilvania.

BT is also the first bank in Romania to have received, last year, ISO9001:2015 certification for card acceptance at POS and for e-commerce, from the certification body SGS România.

The bank was represented at the Visa event, to collect the award, by Alexandru Bratu, Director, Card Acceptance – Payment Solutions.
