Banca Transilvania and Save the Children Romania are launching the campaign Equip a child for school, even if they’re not yours to help children from disadvantaged families get ready for school, whatever form it may take amid the pandemic. BT and Save the Children encourage Romanians to get involved by donating online.

Putting heart into their backpacks

The first step to support children and education was taken by BT, which donated over EUR 50,000 to buy backpacks equipped with everything needed for school.

The bank will also double all donations to Save the Children for this cause, made via the bank’s website or through the BT Pay app.

Almost 40% of children in Romania are at risk of poverty, according to data from Save the Children.
