Banca Transilvania supports the platform www.greencommunity.ro, launched today by the team at the publication www.bankingnews.ro, which aims to bring together people, companies, NGOs and public authorities to build a community around sustainability.

The new media product focuses on news, analysis, opinion and solutions on climate change and the importance of the transition to a green economy. It also promotes businesses that take responsibility for the environment and the community.

Banca Transilvania is the first bank in Romania to provide financing for energy efficiency in the residential sector, using EBRD funds. Partnerships with leading international financial institutions have significantly contributed to building in-house expertise in this field. Today, the Banca Transilvania Financial Group supports environmentally friendly projects with its own funds and uses complex models to assess environmental and social risk. BT’s strategic objectives on ESG are as follows: strengthening the impact financing portfolio, developing communities through access to finance and financial education, and reducing the carbon footprint of BT Group’s financed portfolio.
