Almost 100 volunteers planted 2,000 trees this weekend in Bonțida (Cluj), in the first volunteer initiative to help transform the EC Village campsite.

Over the next three years, Electric Castle and Banca Transilvania plan to turn EC Village, the country’s largest festival campsite, into a greener place. The project will see 10 hectares of what is now open field planted with 10,000 trees. BT is contributing both financially and through employee volunteers, further extending its annual partnership with the Electric Castle festival.

EC Village is where, for five days each year, Electric Castle attendees enjoy the authentic music festival experience and the outdoors. The Electric Castle festival will take place July 19–23 in Bonțida, Cluj.

BT has been involved in tree-planting initiatives for 10 years now. Together with Tășuleasa Social, BT has helped plant 450,000 saplings over 75 hectares.
