The project account is opened at BT, and the procedure is very simple:
- If you already have a current account at BT, the bank will automatically open your dedicated project account for Start‑Up Nation.
- If you do not have a current account at BT, you can:
- open online, from BT Go, or
- in a BT unit, and subsequently the bank will also open your project account.
You need to know that all project payments will be made exclusively from this account.
No. The bank can finance a maximum of 50% of the value of the Non-reimbursable Financial Aid, in the form of a bridge loan. The remaining 50% of the NFA you will receive as an advance, directly into the project account.
Also, it is necessary for you to provide your own contribution for eligible expenses (where applicable) and to cover any ineligible expenses from your own sources, also through the project account.
For the bridge loan, the guarantees can be the goods purchased within the project, or a guarantee offered by FNGCIMM (National Guarantee Fund), according to the applicable conditions.
Non-reimbursable financial aid is granted in two installments, by the Agency for SMEs with which you have signed the funding contract:
- The first installment is transferred after signing the AFN Grant Agreement. At the moment the money is transferred, we notify you by SMS.
- The second tranche is granted after the expense certification visit and final approval of the expense settlement.
