To keep customers’ money and information safe, Banca Transilvania recommends the following:

• do not click links in unsolicited emails or from unknown senders, especially those that appear to be from the bank;
• do not open or download attachments received in unsolicited emails or from unknown senders, especially those that appear to be from the bank;
• access BT24 Internet Banking only via the bank’s website (homepage) or by typing the address into your browser’s address bar, using the keyboard rather than clicking a link;
• check in your browser’s address bar that the address shown is the BT24 Internet Banking address you know;
• make sure you have an encrypted (https) connection to the BT24 Internet Banking site and that the holder of the corresponding digital certificate is Banca Transilvania;
• follow best practices for securing the device you use to access Internet Banking: ensure antivirus and antispyware software is installed and updated regularly; do not save your BT24 Internet Banking login details; use strong, complex passwords (including lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers and special characters) and change them regularly;
• do not fall for “too-good-to-be-true” offers (by email or on social media) that ask for your card details to make a purchase or to enter a prize draw with attractive rewards (phones, plane tickets, etc.).

Banca Transilvania will not send or request information of the kind mentioned above.
