At the beginning of this year, Bancpost customers became Banca Transilvania customers following the merger of the two banks. We prepared for this stage and we are committed to serving you as well as possible — this is our priority.

If you have visited one of our branches in recent days, you may have waited longer than usual to receive assistance from our colleagues. This is mainly because we are activating BT services for approximately 400,000 Bancpost customers who have joined the BT community in the past few days — a record high for the Romanian banking system.

In just the last two and a half months, our task has been to replace approximately 400,000 Bancpost customer cards, which needed to be collected from BT locations, along with activating other services such as Mobile and Internet Banking.

The good news is that this situation is temporary: 80% of customers who banked with Bancpost have already received their BT cards, and BT24 has been activated for 50% of them.

We expect our locations to remain busy for another two weeks, as the salaries and pensions period is coming up, after which we will return to normal levels.

We are happy to lend a hand across our more than 500 branches and agencies. To help you further, we also remind you of a wide range of alternatives: our extended network of more than 1,500 BT Express and BT Express Plus ATMs, BT24 Internet Banking & Mobile Banking, the BT Pay app, or contacting our Call Center team, through which you can carry out around 50 operations.
