Banca Transilvania and EximBank Support SMEs Through a Loan Guarantee Facility
Banca Transilvania and EximBank have entered into the “SME Guarantee Facility” agreement, making it easier for clients to access BT financing. Thanks to this partnership, entrepreneurs have solutions available for working capital and investment financing, even if they do not have sufficient assets to meet the bank loan’s collateral coverage requirements.
Details:
- Under the agreement, Banca Transilvania has a guarantee facility of 40 million lei provided through EximBank.
- Individual guarantees are issued in lei and cover investment loans, working capital loans and bank guarantees.
- BT’s clients can opt for loan tenors of up to 5 years for investment loans, up to 12 months for working capital loans, and up to 24 months for bank guarantees.
- The maximum amount per individual guarantee is 1.5 million lei, with a term aligned to that of the SME loan.
- The guarantee coverage is up to 80% for investment loans and up to 70% for working capital loans. The same maximum of 70% applies to bank guarantees.
Banca Transilvania has over 200,000 active SME clients. BT supports Romanian entrepreneurs through financing solutions and through facilities resulting from partnerships — such as the one with EximBank.
