BT is the largest bank in Southeast Europe by assets and profit for 2018, according to the Top 100 Commercial Banks in Southeast Europe, compiled and published by SeeNews. BT moved up to No. 1 from No. 3 in the previous edition, which covered 2017 vs 2016.

Banca Transilvania at year-end 2018 vs end-2017: 

• BT’s net profit: RON 1,219.39 million;
• The bank’s assets: EUR 15.9 billion, +25%;
• Net loans: +22%;
• Customer deposits: +27%.

Last year also brought continued responsible organic growth, major investments in customers’ digital experience, the integration of Bancpost and the start of implementing our own business model at Victoriabank in the Republic of Moldova.

According to SeeNews, the combined net profit of the region’s top 100 banks rose in 2018 to EUR 4.354 billion, up 24% from the total net profit of those that made last year’s ranking.
