Banca Transilvania and Victoriabank Launch Victoriabank Club for Entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova
● A first for the Republic of Moldova: an entrepreneurship education program ●
Banca Transilvania is extending the BT Club initiative to the Republic of Moldova and, together with Victoriabank Club, is launching it with Victoriabank. It is a personal and professional development program for entrepreneurs, offering training sessions, conferences, advisory services and networking.
At Victoriabank Club events, participants will have the chance to learn more about management, start-ups, team motivation, sales, marketing and various solutions for growing their business. Training sessions will be delivered by people from the Victoriabank, Banca Transilvania and EBRD teams, as well as by trainers specialised in different fields.
“The launch of Victoriabank Club builds on Banca Transilvania’s strong experience in Romania with BT Club. The story began 13 years ago in Cluj-Napoca, and our passion for education and the belief that education transforms people — entrepreneurs included — powered the initial energy even then. Those who start or run businesses have a certain kind of courage, and we can help with education, which in turn turns courage into a sustainable business. In Romania we have built, over time, a vibrant community of more than 25,000 members. There have been over 1,000 educational events in 60 locations, with more than 55,000 participants. We are delighted to expand this success story to the Republic of Moldova, because every entrepreneur we support means fulfilling our mission to back entrepreneurship — and, ultimately, courage.” – said Tiberiu Moisa, Deputy CEO, SME Banking, Banca Transilvania, a member of the Board of Directors at Victoriabank and one of the initiators of the club in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
“The launch of Victoriabank Club is a first for the banking market in the Republic of Moldova and is part of Banca Transilvania’s initiatives, as an investor in Victoriabank, aimed at local entrepreneurs. A first step in this direction was taken in 2018, when Victoriabank targeted start-ups with a dedicated product and adopted a much more open approach to small and medium-sized companies. Victoriabank believes in entrepreneurship and in supporting it. We are confident the financial education program will be a success and that clients will appreciate the new approach: Victoriabank offers clients more than banking products and services.” – said Bogdan Plesuvescu, President, Victoriabank.
Companies can register for Victoriabank Club online, free of charge. On the Victoriabank website, entrepreneurs can also see the training calendar and sign up — also free of charge. The courses will be held in different cities across the Republic of Moldova — such as Chisinau, Balti and Cahul. The first courses organised by Victoriabank Club will take place in May and June this year, covering Financial Management and Cash Flow Management.
Banca Transilvania and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development are the majority shareholders of Victoriabank and, since January 2018, have been working together to support entrepreneurs and the economy of the Republic of Moldova.
