Banca Transilvania (BT) and the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) announce the start of a partnership under which BT becomes a sponsor of the Romanian Cup, one of the most important and well-regarded competitions in Romanian sport.
The partnership between Banca Transilvania and the Romanian Football Federation will run for at least three seasons. It confirms the appeal of the Romanian Cup and the partners’ shared commitment to supporting Romanian football and strengthening the connection between the competition and its supporters.
The Romanian Cup holds a special place in Romanian football for its ability to create opportunities for teams from across the country and to turn every season into memorable experiences for supporters. It is the only competition that brings together teams from all tiers of Romanian football. Reinvented in 2022 with the introduction of a new competition format, the Romanian Cup continues to attract partners who share values such as performance, ambition, team spirit and ties to communities.
For BT, the new partnership is an opportunity to support performance and to be closer to communities across the country. The Romanian Cup is more than a sports competition; it is a story about people rallying around a shared passion. We are pleased to contribute to the growth of a competition that is part of Romania’s sporting identity and that shows us, season after season, that performance can emerge wherever there is talent, ambition and support.

Extending the partnership with Banca Transilvania is further confirmation of the trust that the Romanian Football Federation has built in recent years through vision, stability and transparency. The fact that the leader of Romania’s banking market has chosen to strengthen its support and become a sponsor of the Romanian Cup delights us enormously. The Romanian Cup is a truly special competition, unique in its spirit and the values it promotes, open to the largest number of teams nationwide and giving every club, regardless of tier, the chance to live its dream. Together with a strong and innovative partner like BT, we are confident that we will take this tradition-rich competition to a new level of appeal and performance for all supporters of Romanian football.
