The CENTENAR Anniversary Issue, a retail offer of RON-denominated government bonds issued by the Ministry of Public Finance under the FIDELIS programme, runs July 11–29. Banca Transilvania and BT Capital Partners are part of the syndicate of intermediaries for this issue, with the two BT Financial Group companies supporting the ministry’s efforts to improve financial literacy and broaden the range of savings options for the public.

Details:

• Subscriptions can be made through the BT branch network and BT Capital Partners;
• The total nominal value of the issue is RON 100 million, with the option for the issuer to increase it, and the price of one government bond is RON 100. Up to 1,000 government bonds may be purchased per person.
• The annual interest rate is 2.15%. Interest and any capital gains realized from holding and trading the securities issued through the Ministry of Public Finance are tax-exempt; maturity is in 2018;
• Eligible investors are individuals, residents and non-residents of Romania, aged over 18;
• A maximum of 1,000 government bonds may be purchased, and Banca Transilvania together with BT Capital Partners are members of the syndicate of intermediaries;
• During the subscription process, investors buying government bonds can choose to open a bank account, provide their existing bank account details, or subscribe in cash;
• As of August 5, 2016, the government bonds will be traded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange;
