Banca Transilvania (BT) and the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee (COSR) signed today, at Olympic House in Bucharest, a partnership under which BT became Official Partner – Official Bank of the Olympic Team – "Team Romania".

The partnership aims to support performance and Romanian athletes participating in the Olympic Games and other competitions held under the Olympic rings. It will run for three years.

"First and foremost, this is a partnership for Romania, for Romanian sport, for our country’s visibility and honor worldwide, and we are honored by this association. Our athletes are role models for people, and ambassadors for our country around the world. We congratulate them and are pleased to stand with them. Banca Transilvania’s contribution goes beyond the financial dimension through joint projects dedicated to education through sport and encouraging sporting performance," said Ӧmer Tetik, Chief Executive Officer, Banca Transilvania.

In addition to representatives of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee and Banca Transilvania, Olympic medalists also attended the event.
