Banca Transilvania is kicking off the first online banking shopping campaign of the year, BaBeTe. Between 1–7 March this year, people looking to finance various plans can apply for these offers on the bank’s website.
In 2020, similar campaigns were among the ways in which BT supported its customers with discounts and benefits. Over 90,000 people applied for #Odatalapatruani, #GoodVibesOnly, #SummerVibes, #HappyHomeDays or #MissionPossible, and more than 20% were not BT customers.
BaBeTe campaign offers:
- Mortgage loan in RON:
- 4.48% variable interest rate (IRCC + 2.60%);
- No processing fee;
- Loan term up to 30 years;
- Down payment of at least 15%.
- Personal loan in RON with life and unemployment insurance and a fixed rate:
- 7.7% interest and no processing fee;

- Bundle including the Personal Loan and the STAR Forte credit card:
- Borrow up to RON 100,000 via the Personal Loan and up to RON 25,000 via the credit card;

- STAR Forte credit card: RON 100 in STAR points, ten times more loyalty points than under the standard offer.
- BT Overdraft:
- Fixed rate of 9%, versus the bank’s standard offer of 17%;
- An overdraft on your current account of up to six times your income, capped at RON 50,000; interest is charged only on the amount used.
Applicants for these offers will receive a confirmation e-mail from the bank with details of the next steps. Credit cards applied for under the BaBeTe campaign must be activated at BT ATMs by 12 April this year, and STAR points will be credited to the card by 30 April this year.
The BaBeTe concept was inspired by the Romanian tradition of Babele, tied to the first days of March. BT ran a similar campaign in 2017, and in 2014 it launched banking shopping campaigns in Romania with another concept, Bank Friday.
