BT Capital Partners, a member of the Banca Transilvania Financial Group, assisted the Swiss company MET Group in the transaction to acquire Repower’s Romanian operations. Repower supplies electricity to end customers and provides advisory services in the energy sector. MET Group specializes in trading in electricity, gas and oil products, and has operations in Austria, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

The operational closing of the transaction confirms BT Capital Partners’ ability to execute cross-border buy-side transactions in highly complex sectors.
