BT Capital Partners is Joint Lead Manager for International Investment Bank’s bond issue, which debuts on the Bucharest Stock Exchange on November 7

International Investment Bank (IIB) raised a new round of funding on the Romanian capital market, for the fifth year in a row. The bonds, with a 3-year maturity and a fixed coupon of 3.98% per annum payable annually, were listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on November 7 this year, under the ticker IIB22. The issue was arranged by BT Capital Partners, the investment banking and capital markets arm of the Banca Transilvania Financial Group, together with ING Bank Romania.

"Trust and transparency are two extremely important values on the capital market. At BT Capital Partners, we take pride in our ability to build long-lasting relationships and amplify their outcomes through perseverance and dedication. The outstanding results of International Investment Bank’s fifth bond issue on the Romanian market are the fruit of work begun in 2015. We greatly value a partnership that has stood the test of time and are honored to be part of this success story," says Daniela Secară, CEO, BT Capital Partners.

“We are proud of the outcome of this bond issue. This clearly demonstrates the international investment community’s confidence in the bank’s strategy and is, obviously, a sign of recognition of IIB as a multilateral development institution headquartered in Europe,” says Nikolay Kosov, Chairperson of the IIB Management Board.

The issue comprises 50,000 bonds, each with a face value of RON 10,000, for a total amount of RON 500 million (EUR 105 million). The funds raised by IIB will be used to finance the existing loan portfolio and new lending to European Union member states, as well as to refinance debt.

IIB’s first financing on the Romanian capital market was in 2015, when the institution raised RON 111 million, and since then the bank has issued bonds every year, in both RON and EUR, on the Bucharest exchange, bringing the total to nearly RON 2.2 billion (EUR 467 million).
