BT Capital Partners (BTCP), Romania’s largest capital markets intermediary, has seen a record influx of new investors since April 2026 — over 15,000.

Of the 15,000 newly opened trading accounts at BT Capital Partners, 90% were opened via BT Pay, with the app tripling the number of accounts opened per month at BTCP.

The increase was driven by the launch of the option to open a BT Capital Partners trading account in the BT Pay app, as well as by the launch of BT România ETF, an investment fund listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Most of the new investors are Banca Transilvania Private and Premium Banking clients in Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, Constanța, Iași and Timișoara.

The broader client base helped push BT Capital Partners’ net assets above 37 billion lei (over 7 billion euros).
