BT Investor Day 2026: 200 participants from nearly 20 countries; BT targets EUR 100 billion in assets
Held under the theme ‘Setting the Next Stage of Growth’, this year’s BT Investor Day brought together 200 participants from nearly 20 countries, in Cluj-Napoca and online.
Institutional investors, investment and pension fund managers, investment banking representatives and financial analysts engaged directly with the senior management of Banca Transilvania Financial Group on BT’s strategy, outlook and next phases of growth.
BT Investor Day was followed by the CEE Most Wanted Companies conference, organised by BT Capital Partners, also in Cluj-Napoca, which brought together 20 of the most prominent listed companies in Central and Eastern Europe. The event facilitated over 130 meetings between institutional investors, financial analysts and representatives of companies listed on the stock exchanges from Bucharest, London, Athens and Ljubljana. For BT Capital Partners, a leading broker for companies in Romania and the region, the conference was yet another opportunity to help connect these companies with the investment community and facilitate access to capital.
#BT100: Confidence in Romania and growth plans
Banca Transilvania Financial Group announced at Investor Day its objective of reaching EUR 100 billion in assets by 2030, a target that defines its next phase of growth, which focuses on five areas:
- organic growth of Banca Transilvania at a faster pace than the banking market;
- consolidating the leading position in key segments;
- accelerated development of companies within the BT Group;
- enhancing synergies between the bank and the other companies in the Group;
- maintaining risk discipline and operational efficiency.
#BT100 is both a business initiative and a commitment to Romania. It reflects BT’s confidence in the potential of the Romanian economy, in BT’s diversified business model and in its ability to generate sustainable growth for customers, investors, shareholders and the economy.
Romania is now the second-largest economy in Central and Eastern Europe, with GDP of approximately EUR 380 billion and an economic convergence of 78 per cent of the EU average. Banca Transilvania Group’s next step is to grow alongside Romania, supporting the country’s next chapter of economic development through financing and investments.

Over the past 25 years, BT has doubled in size every five years, growing significantly faster than both the Romanian economy and most of our competitors. We have not limited our ambitions to the pace of the banking system’s development or to the level of financial intermediation. Instead, we identified needs that the bank could not address directly and developed solutions through leasing, microfinance, consumer lending, asset management, brokerage and other complementary activities. I am delighted that we had the opportunity to present our ambitious growth plans to investors and analysts. We thank everyone for participating, appreciate the strong interest shown in BT and we are grateful for the confidence in BT Group.
