Banca Transilvania was recognized by the publication wall-street.ro for supporting — through financing — Romanians and the Romanian economy, despite the challenges of the year. The award, Financing Beyond the Economic Storm, was presented at the Leadership Makes the Difference gala, an event that set out to honor leaders and companies that, through their vision, have inspired the industries they are part of. It took place on December 7.

BT was represented by Daniel Szekely, Executive Director, SME & Microbusiness, who said: „Leadership means carrying on — moving in a certain direction, owning your decisions and hoping for a positive outcome. In BT’s case, this was later borne out by the numbers. Moreover, carrying on means doing it together with business partners, with the authorities and with the team that was there day in, day out, supporting clients. We are honored by this award — many thanks to everyone”.

According to wall-street.ro, the inspiration for these awards came from the achievements of companies that have bravely pressed ahead amid the pandemic: For almost two years, the business environment has been in a race marked by constant unpredictability. Some companies prefer to stand still or move slowly, waiting for a stable framework, while others have adapted to current conditions and are revving their engines in search of new opportunities, managing at the same time to open the way for other players who thus become fellow travelers. In such a race, authentic leadership truly proves its worth.
