Banca Transilvania is once again supporting, as main partner, Techsylvania, one of the largest events in Eastern Europe dedicated to technology, innovation and business enthusiasts. Techsylvania will take place in Cluj-Napoca from June 17 to 20, at the Students’ Culture House.

The four-day event features competitions, talks and panel discussions. One of the competitions is a hackathon, where teams have to build a piece of software, and another, the international Startup Avalanche, challenges participating companies to pitch their projects to investors. The prize is a trip to Silicon Valley, where the start-up’s representatives will have the chance to meet investors and entrepreneurs open to helping them grow their business.

The Techsylvania agenda also includes, on June 19 at 5:30 PM, again at the Students’ Culture House, the panel “The Future of Banking”, which will feature Gabriela Nistor — Deputy CEO Retail — alongside Shahar Nechmad — Credit Stacks, Philip Kandal — Telenav, Vincent Mouret — OT-Morpho, and Michal Skowronek, Head of Market Development for CEE, MasterCard Europe.  

Among this year’s speakers are: Ralph Simon, CEO of Mobilium and the inventor of the mobile phone ringtone; Alexis Bonte, Executive in Residence at Atomico, one of the largest investment funds in Europe; Krating Poonpol, a partner at 500 Startups and Thailand’s Businessman of the Year; and Martin Wezowski, Chief Designer at SAP.
