For the fifth year running, Transilvania Executive Education is offering full scholarships to those interested in the 100% British EMBA programme delivered in Cluj-Napoca by the University of Hull. With support from business partners Banca Transilvania, Electrogrup and SIF Moldova, alongside Biziday.ro and Republica.ro as media partners, a competition for two EMBA scholarships was organised from 31 October–20 November. More than 80 applications were received, and the best were selected.

Leda Panaiot and Dan Negrea are the winners of the two scholarships offered by Banca Transilvania, Electrogrup and SIF Moldova, worth EUR 15,000 each.

Leda Panaiot is a Senior Legal Counsel at E.ON Romania. Her work focuses on group-level transactions and strategic projects, as well as risk/opportunity assessments and the e-mobility area. She is passionate about elite theory and, in her spare time, she coaches student teams preparing for international moot court competitions or judges such competitions.

The second scholarship recipient, Dan Negrea, is an Operations Manager at Color Control Services. He is a graduate of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and, to date, has gained experience in production, quality and supply chain. His academic background and published research have greatly helped his communication skills, and in the future he would like to contribute more to integrating students and recent graduates into the workforce in the industrial and technology sectors.

We are seeing ever more compelling applications year after year — managers with many years of experience apply for scholarships, with significant achievements in business and beyond. These are managers who invest continuously in education, both through specialist courses and doctoral programmes, and who also demonstrate community involvement through volunteering. We would have liked to receive more applications from those working in NGOs and in the public sector.”

The two scholarship recipients will join the other candidates enrolled in the EMBA programme, who will begin classes in February 2019, for the two specialisations available in Cluj-Napoca: Tech EMBA and General Management EMBA. Further details are available on the website, www.ubbee.ro
