Banca Transilvania Financial Group is a partner of the Individual Investors’ Forum, which will take place on May 18 in Cluj-Napoca. The event, organised by the Bucharest Stock Exchange, targets both those just starting out and experienced capital market participants. The agenda is available here.

Four experienced professionals from the teams of Banca Transilvania, BT Asset Management and BT Capital Partners will represent the BT Group as speakers at the event:

Dan Rusu, Head of Research

• With more than 10 years’ experience on Romania’s capital market, he is one of the best-known experts in the field.
• He has been part of the BT Group team since 2005: he started at BT Securities, and since 2010 he has worked at Banca Transilvania. He coordinates the capital markets research department and represents BT in financial education and mentoring programmes run together with the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
• Dan Rusu’s talk at the forum is titled "How to tell which information matters when investing".

Aurel Bernat, CEO, BT Asset Management

• Over 10 years’ experience in the investment fund industry, as well as in banking within two representative institutions in the Romanian banking landscape
• Graduate of the EMBA programme at the University of Hull, United Kingdom
• Member of the Board of Directors — Romanian Fund Managers Association (AAF)
• The panel Aurel Bernat will join will focus on how easy it is for an individual to become an investor. It will also offer suggestions for profitable long-term investments.

Irina Railean, Senior Financial Analyst, BT Capital Partners

• Part of the Banca Transilvania team since 2015, Irina Railean focuses on the analysis and valuation of companies listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
• Named Best Analyst on InvestingRomania.com in 2017 by the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
• Passionate about the capital market, at the forum she will speak about dividends as a source of income and about relative valuation as a valuation method — two simple tools accessible to any investor. In addition, together with participants she will develop an investment strategy.

Stefan Nicola, Head of Agency, BT Capital Partners

• One of the market’s most experienced brokers, with more than 20 years on Romania’s capital market.
• He has been with the Banca Transilvania Financial Group since 2014: he started at BT Securities and continued at BT Capital Partners as head of the brokerage agency.
• His topic at the forum is "An example portfolio and how it evolves over time".

The panel themes, with nearly 20 speakers, include: Ways to invest on the stock exchange; Brokerage; Investment funds; Voluntary pension funds; Key information when investing; Listed companies and companies with listing potential on the Bucharest Stock Exchange; and Fundamental analysis methods in investing.

The Individual Investors’ Forum is one of the financial education, entrepreneurship and mentoring projects in which BT is involved together with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, alongside initiatives such as Made in Romania: BVB League,  Investing Romania and Fluent in Finance
