University of Hull Executive MBA, Cluj-Napoca’s 100% British business school, launches Tech EMBA specialization
EMBA opens enrolment for its fifth cohort, with the General EMBA and Tech EMBA specialisations
EMBA University of Hull, the 100% British business school in Cluj-Napoca, has a new partner, the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. Through this partnership, and together with the University of Hull in the UK, the Tech EMBA specialisation is being launched. The new specialisation is aimed at those working in IT and technology and covers courses in infrastructure management, cyber security, software systems management and innovation. The second specialisation, General EMBA, comprises modules that deepen knowledge of general management, the international business environment, consulting, project management and economics.
The EMBA programme is internationally accredited by The Association of MBAs and The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Courses run over 2 years and are taught by international faculty from the University of Hull. The EMBA University of Hull degree is international and is awarded by the University of Hull.
The Cluj-Napoca business school was launched 4 years ago and is a partnership between academia and business, bringing together the University of Hull, Babeș-Bolyai University, Banca Transilvania and Electrogrup. The four cohorts of the EMBA University of Hull in Cluj-Napoca have included more than 100 participants.
“The new Tech EMBA specialisation is designed to meet the needs of the digital economy, which is a key source of economic growth and is transforming an ever larger part of the economy in Transylvania and Romania. The new EMBA programme structure, with its two specialisations, General and Tech, offers both domain-specific expertise and a solid common foundation essential to developing critical and strategic thinking across both specialisations.”
“Since today every economic sector includes Information Technology, the need for high-quality executive education in Management and Information Technology is clear.
“In this regard, the new Tech EMBA specialisation, initiated as a joint effort by the University of Hull and the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, fits this need perfectly,” says Prof. Dr. Eng. Daniela Popescu, Vice-Rector for University Management and Relations with the Socio-Economic Environment at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.
Nicholas Snowden, MBA Director at the University of Hull, says: “We are extremely pleased to take part in this development of the educational environment in Cluj-Napoca, which shows the desire of all those involved to build a better and more prosperous future in Romania.”
