Banca Transilvania is providing EUR 71.4 million financing for the development of the Eco Sun Niculești photovoltaic park, Entek Elektrik’s first green energy production investment in Romania. The total project value is estimated at approximately EUR 100 million.  

Located in Dâmbovița County, the Eco Sun Niculești project marks Entek Elektrik’s first renewable energy production investment in Romania and stands out as one of the largest bilateral financings for a photovoltaic project currently under development in the country.

Once completed, the park will have an installed capacity of approximately 205 MWm.

Projects of this scale contribute to strengthening energy independence and modernizing the Romanian economy. The investment in the Eco Sun Niculești project is being carried out through Entek Elektrik Üretimi A.Ş., a renewable energy company of Koç Group and its main shareholder is Türkiye Petrol Rafinerileri A.Ş., Türkiye’s largest industrial enterprise and Europe’s 7^th largest refinery company.

Entek has a portfolio of 550 MWm energy capacity in Türkiye and significant experience in the development, operation, and marketing of electricity.
